Five minutes by trike from White Beach, Bulabog faces the other way — into the northeast monsoon. From November to April the bay fills with kites; during the habagat season the pattern reverses and White Beach takes the weather. Two coasts, two seasons, one island: Boracay quietly runs a complementary-asset model.
Bulabog hosts Asia’s most reliable learner-wind season: shallow water, side-onshore wind, and a corridor of schools and lodges priced well below White Beach frontage. The guest profile is different — younger, longer-staying, equipment-led — which fills beds in months the sunset side cannot.
For operators the effect is measurable: properties that can serve both coasts — or shuttle guests between them — flatten their occupancy curve. Bulabog’s lodges run at their strongest exactly when White Beach’s premium rates are softest, which makes the wind side a revenue stabiliser rather than a niche.
